The 02 liberty I just bought needs some tires. It came with aftermarket wheels that have 245/65/17 tires. Looking at Goodyear trail runner AT. Any thoughts? I want something that has a bit of bite to it.

Go to 16s , if no sag 245-70-16s work great , better selection in 16s IMO
My 05 Limited has the stupid 17s on and can not find a good mud/snow tire anywhere that I like. Just All Seasons Been looking at several brands
Duratracs on the 04
Falken Wildpeaks AT3Ws on the 03
Wonder how it ever came to have that size on it, who would go to that size ?

Unfortunately I only have one stock 16 inch wheel that the spare is on.

What 17 inch tire size should I use?

Stock was 235-65-17s, if 245-65-17s have enough room then go with them again
What I was saying is there is not any tire that I have found that has the tread good enough for my needs , only snow tires or street style

hi. did the 245-65-17 rub? what did you put finally ?
I run 245-65-17s on the 05 parent hauler
Of course when installed there was not much sag in the springs, depends on if you have a lot of sag or not, measure first !
Left front, middle of the hub to bottom of the flare and report back
