New Owner here..quick question (updated)

Hey all, New 05 Liberty Sport owner here. Picked her up just over a week ago now. Loving my KJ so far, previous vehicle (my first vehicle) was a 98 Ranger regular cab.

My quick question...

I notice a kind of "clunk clunk" sound coming from the rear when I drive over bumps. I'm almost positive its coming from some part of the back door / rear window or some combination of both. Its definitely a heavy sound. Is this a normal sound? Or is something not right?

Any feedback appreciated



Edit: Dealership said the back door wasnt aligned properly with the locking mechanism and that was what was causing the sounds...they fixed it in a few hours. I was pretty happy to hear that it was nothing serious...and driving it home, No rattle!

I have a noise coming from what i thought was the back door or window... drove me crazy ](*,)

worked out to be neither!
ended up being the seat back locking mechanism for one third section of the back seat.

next time you notice the noise, fold down that third of the seat & then slam it back with a good thud... should hopefully stop the noise.

if the noise comes back, you give it another good slam & it stops for a while again (dunno)

Check exhaust, mine hits frame on bumps and when turing to the left.
