Yeah I was bummed about the lack of zerk, but at $30 a pop I can't argue, not to mention how easy they are to install.

Could probably tap it for a zerk but Ill just shoot it in there, its not a completely sealed boot, so its pretty easy to needle grease when necessary.

Anyway I need to get mine ASAP before it gets cold, I can't afford steering instability during a Michigan winter.

Very good research. These would be a inexpensive upgrade! May have to order them and install them when I do Al's arms.

You might be due for some new ends anyway, aren't you at like 80k or somethin?

67K. But I will say that is closer to 80K than 50K
Dangit Phil, time for a road trip man. Put some (more) miles on that thing! The most I've ever seen on an '04 was about 77k.

It's funny that you found this. I was told my my father-in-law to check into TRW (he's a retired mechanic). He mentioned they may have greasable joints and they shouldn't be too much more, if any.

Good find again!

I think I am gonna stick with the moogs, they have a lifetime warranty and you can still grease them fairly easily. So even if they grind up like my current stocks I can just get new ones for free.

With some of the prices I found the $5 difference in cost doesn't really matter much, the zerk would save some trouble though....

Not to mention your F.I.L. is an experience mechanic who knows better than me.

I don't know I'll have to think about it more.... Unless you wanna buy some and break the ice. \:D/

Oh SNAP! I would go for the moogs. They are sealed, and if they last along time then thats less things you would need to grease.

True, sealed is nice, but both sets will probably use close to identical boots. The zerk just lets you compensate for the tiny bits that leak out.

I am just more drawn to MOOG because I trust the name.

Then again TRW has been around for 90+ years and just happened to not be included on my brand loyalty chart; due to lack of interaction.

Gonna talk to my welder about drilling and tapping the ball joint for a zerk. Then I get the benefits of both.

If its possible anyway, I'll leave that to him.
