Hi there. Hope someone can help.

I took my Cherokee (Liberty) 2.8 CRD for its 2-yearly test last week and it failed on emissions. The actual wording (translated from the French) was;

The opacity exceeds the received value or the measurements are unstable.

The OBD system reading indicates a major malfunction with the following fault codes read concerning the emission control device.

Codes P0073, P0101, P0069, P1265, P1261, P0402, P0102, P1263

It had been running fine with no visible smoke so I was surprised, until two days later it went into limp mode going up a hill.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what the problem may be as I don't have a reader device to look up the codes.

Many thanks in advance,
John

The 1000 series codes you have are all glow plug related, the other codes are all MAF, MAP and boost pressure. You need to get them all cleared and see what fresh codes you get, these may be mainly historic faults. Look at your other post.
