My muffler has a problem where the side seam has opened up and is leaking. I do not want to replace it because I love how it sounds now and do not want to lose the amazing engine grown I have now, the muffler is the OEM from the factory. Other than the seam issue the muffler is in great shape, keep in mind the entire seam is leaking. If I replace the muffler will I lose the amazing engine sound I have now? My current MPG is about 17-18.

Is this a question or a statement, Replace it with an aftermarket muffler, I replaced my whole exhaust from the y pipe and went with a Thrush Welded muffler, Sounds fantastic, If you system is in good shape just replace the muffler, Only cost me $45 for the muffler, Must be cheaper down in the states.
