My main hobby in life is riding motorcycle

This is my current ride. A 2008 Victory Vegas, wearing a tour pack on a four day run down the Great River Road last summer

1996 Honda VT1100 americam classic edition I saved from the boneyard and put back on the road. Had 16k when I saved it, turned into one hella sweet ride.

Nice pair of Ducs. It has always amazed me how the old Multis could be sooo ugly, yet cool at the same time:killit:

I was so tired of riding 2 up on the 748 that it really didn't matter how it looked. How it felt when you sat on it was the number one reason we bought it.

Got my first "real" ride in this season. Put on about 120 miles thru Minnesota. Nice to get out again, but with temps only in the mid 50s, I was nicely chilled when I got back.
This is likely the latest first ride in quite a few years, usually I'm out by late March.

Had a dirt bike for a short while as a teenager, then in the early 80's I got my motorcycle license and a 71 Honda CB750, rode that old POS into the ground and sold it for parts...

Next came the 99 883 Hugger, solo seat, put forward controls, windshield, and bags on it. Mostly rode it to work and back, but took a few day trips on it too. At the time I had it my kids were still young so the wife chose not to ride with me like she did on the Honda....

Last month...(March)....I brought home my retirement present, a used 2003 Fat Boy, 100 year anniversary model. Previous owner installed Cycle Shack slip-on mufflers, a Screaming eagle air intake, and a detachable windshield, I added a new round chrome air filter cover, padded back rest with luggage rack, and will eventually get either a Mustang or Corbin seat, and Vance & Hines Longshots pipes.....

The day I brought it home.....

The wife and I took a nice Easter Sunday ride today, approx 45 miles of mostly back country roads. Being that it was Easter, hardly any cars on the road, the weather was perfect since we were both comfortable with just our leather vests, didn't even need gloves. Ended the ride with a stop at the local custard stand for a couple of sundaes, a few other bikes were there as well. Overall more bikes on the road today then cars. Around here most bikers get their riding in this time of year, the weather is good, and the tourists aren't here yet.....

Currently have two bikes in my stable:

    First a 2002 Buell X1 White Lightning.

Second, my baby for almost 20 years now, 1982 Honda CB750K.

The Honda is actually for sale as it's come down with some electrical issue that I no longer have the patience to deal with. Gunna throw some sport bags on the Buell this summer and do some camping to see how it goes.

    Nice bikes all!

    Close call last week.
I was riding Wildcat Mt. which is a really twisty, technical section of road famous in this area as a great ride.
I was approaching a blind left hander and had an oncoming rider overcook a corner and run wide into my lane. I saw him just as I was about to initiate my turn and had just enough time to straighten out and brake hard. A split second difference and we would have hit head on!!

I happened to be filming, and this is a still pulled from my onboard camera

    Pucker factor ~ 8.3

He is lucky I wasn't driving the KJ.

Nice ride, now its time to tear it all back down and really make it yours. :laughing1: Just like Jeeps they are never done. My last Harley I bought in 86 ( 85 FXRT SportGlide, local dealer rode it only) and had it until 2006, close to 100,000 miles and installed, removed, painted, chromed, dechromed, changed, swapped .....well you know every winter tear down and change it up
But sold it for 2500 more than I paid for it !
