either one will work, the longer one will be less load then the shorter one. depends on how much noise you want to make.

The stock muffler is closer to the 18" size.

I put in a shorter one, with a different outlet position, so there was some extra pipework to do.

I did a flow aster super40 sounds great . Cost about $100 for the muffler a piece of pipe and some clamps. I'm happy been about a year now no problem.

Magnaflows are good, sound great and no droning at higway speed like Flowmasters etc
I would get the longer for a bit quieter if you want that but ran the shorter on the 04

There is a little drone on the highway but it puts my daughter to sleep. I think she likes a little rumble.
