Picked up my neighbors 05 Liberty really cheap. Said it was a mechanics special. Been sitting in the driveway for 8 months. Ran the codes and several issues pulled up. Replaced coil packs, spark plugs, 2 faulty injectors. Style had a fault on no2 cylinder. Checked compression and 0 compression. Removed valve cover and found the rocker sitting there. No damage to rocker, lifter, or can lobe. Reinstalled and purse like a kitten. Question is why would this happen. I did notice that the Oil sending unit is leaking oil like crazy and there was low oil. Could that be a factor. Please comment as I’m concerned it could happen again. Thank you

Known rocker issues sometimes caused by stuck lifter, but not that frequent.
Best to pull effected lifter inspect/clean/lubricate.
The rockers can usually be re-used (good reason to keep clean oil in Jeep)
I'd recommend using full synthetic oils, which offers better lubrication.
Monitor jeep for for blue smoke on cold start ups, hopefully the stem seals are still in good condition.
Oil pressure sending units can leak, just get a new Mopar one.
