Hey All,

2003 Jeep Liberty Sport

I have an issue with my left turn signal. It doesn't blink front or back. The light on the dash does not flash. The hazards only blink on the right side. I changed all bulbs. I saw in the service manual that fuse #7 refers to the left blinker. In my fuse box I do not have a #7 fuse and the Spot for that fuse does not have a connector to plug one in. The marker bulb socket has a green/yellow and a black/red wires. Does anyone have a schematic of the left turn signal (I want to check the ground)? Any ideas what may be causing the turn signal to not work?

Thanks,
ScottZ0

1-Changed all bulbs
2-Changed multi switch
3-Bulb for marker comes on with the headlights (socket good?)
4-All fuses (except #7) are tested good
5-I've read other similar threads

Take this with a grain of salt, because it is from another type of vehicle. I had a similar problem with my Grand Cherokee WG (European WJ) and it was a broken wire where the wires pass between the door and the fender in the door jamb. But the WJs are known for this very common problem due to a design flaw. I'm not at all sure if KJs have a similar problem or not.

Hi, I took a look and the fuse for the left turn signal is the number 5.

This happened to my 08 last year. Using my multimeter I was able to check continuity between the turn signal ground and the battery. There was none. I found the ground wire connection to the body behind the headlight area and it was fine— the wires can rust off at the ground connection sometimes but not on mine. So, the issue had to be in the ground wire somewhere. Since so much of that wire is hidden behind the fenders, I couldn’t see where the break was. So I just ran my own ground and the turn signal works again.
