hello all,

I just bought a used liberty, I think the wheels are Jeep Rubicon 16x8 but it still has 225/75/16. I have ordered 245/70/16 BF Goodrich TA KO, do you think this is the largest tire size that will fit on a stock lift? If anyone has 245/70/16, or larger such as a 255 /70/16 on a stock please reply with comments and/or pictures on how your tires fit.

You still have the OEM limited rims, they look a little like the MOAB rims off a Rubicon.225/75 tires would look very odd on a 8" rim,and ruin the tires very fast. The OEM rims are 7" wide.the biggest tires for a stock suspension is 245/70 tires since you have a '05.Sorry no pics of that size since I'm lifted and run 265/75's.
The rims on this kj are the MOAB rims.

a chart i often refer to

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Jeep_Liberty/Tires_&_Rims

I run 245/70r16s on my 06libby sport crd no rubbing really cept for extreem articulation and a little on the front fender wells, but my fender is all mashed up so if it where new and tight, it would prolly not rub. Your results may vary.....

one option size that is not on there for a stock lift is 255/65 which is what i run and havent had any rubbing issues so far.

I'm going to go with Firestone Destination A/Ts. In the All Terrain category they seem to self clean the best. I'm going to go with P235/75R16. If anyone knows otherwise please share!

I think he actually does have the Moabs, avatar has been updated and looks to be Moabs to me. Anyway, other people have used 245/70's on the Moabs with no lift and with very little to no rubbing. At least that's what I've read on here.

I'd have to see it to believe that, since you can run 245/70's on a stock KJ(and they barely have enough clearance and rub offroad),but you need to use the stock rims which are 16x7 with 5.5" BS.The MOAB's are 16x8 with 5" BS,so running MOAB's is like putting on 1.5" spacers behind the stock rims, without a lift you will rub bad with 245/70 tires.
