I've been looking at the wheels from the JBA website, Baja 16x8 I'm currently running the OEM steel wheels with 245/75/16 tires and have a small amount of rubbing at full lock when in reverse with the OME lift, top plate, and clevis. can I fit this wheels without any major problem? and can I use the same 245/75 tires on an 8" wide wheel?

if I understand correctly the Bajas have 1 in less backspace than stock and a 0 offset vs 41mm which means that the tire would come out about 2"? anyone running this wheels? any better options?

A proper 8 inch wheel should have 5 inches of backspacing
Anything less will sit the tire and wheel out further
245-75-16s will work, BUT I run 16 X8 with 5 inches of backspacing and 265-70-16s ( same height as 245-75-16s ) and they sit on the wheels much better. With over 8 inch tread width way better than 7 inches of tread width
Now on to the next thing yes there will be some rubbing possibly depends on how much lift you have

IF lifted 7 inch wide with 4 inches of backspacing works great sits the tire/ wheel combo out to edge of flares but allows you to run a conventional tire like 245-75-16 etc
Going 8 inch wide 5 inch backspaced , you should run a wider tire like 265-70-16 when lifted

I do plant to go with 265/70 eventually, I just wanted to make sure I can continue to use my current set 245/75 till I'm ready for new tires. Planning on getting 4:10 gears as well just not sure if before or after the tires.
