How long of a bar did you have on them ?
Never had any that would not come off with a little help from a 4 foot bar

about a 3 foot bar, with a jack pushing against it to give it the pressure, it broke the bar before the dang bolt..

I had one that I had to cut out using a sawzall, it was completely seized up inside the control arm sleeve.

Ugh, I hate doing that lol.. but I am afraid you are right.
Not too bad if you have a reciprocating saw. It took me an hour and a half to cut two bolts off on an upper control arm. All I had was a hand held hacksaw blade. David

Cut them or hind the heads off. I had to. Make sure you have the new bolts in hand though before you cut them. The new bolts aren’t really cheap but not too bad. I got mine from the stealership.
