I have not ridden a bike in 18 years. After crushing my ankle I never bothered to.
Well at almost 48 I started kayaking now at almost 51 I decided to ride a bike again. I borrowed a friends old 24" mountain bike and enjoyed just riding to friends house. The bike was to small for me . So I bought a used 'comfort' bike from local bike shop. Picked it up Friday, so I could try it out this weekend. They still need to replace the front suspension.
I won't be ride it far but I hope to be able to ride it further then my friends.

    I thought the same thing:pp:

Good for you Cherrie, I used to do alot of mountain biking (well technically "bluff biking".) with my brother before he moved to SanFran about 5 years ago. Then I crashed it going downhill and bent the frame, haven't pedalled since.

Have fun, be safe, and don't get to crazy doing extreme off-road donwhill:smokin:

When I told people I wanted a peddle bike they all said but you have one with a motor. Its a 1986 Suzuki Intruder 700.
I just want to see if I can!
I never stopped riding motorcycles even though that's how my ankle got crushed. Just peddle bikes.

Been hauling my bike to ride around lake Cadillac.
Hauling it on my homemade kayak trailer was not working out. Since I haven't used my homemade cross bars on the KK this year I made a bike carrier with them. I got them done late on 5-23 so that I could use them 5-24. I rode the bike around Lake Cadillac(7) miles the hit the Pine River for a 9 1/2 mile paddle. I'll get a pic up soon, of my set up.

But it has a lift, the front forks/ shocks have about 20 mm more travel than stock.

Sold my dirt bike to help fund the KK's lift.
