I've read most of the threads pertaining to this problem and I just ran into it with my '09 Liberty with 81K on it. Like several of you, I thought it was transmission, and my fluid level was very low, but after topping it up no change. So guess I'll look at the bearings next and axle components. Let me know what you find.
