Although this is a fairly easy install, there werent any real pictures in this forum that I could find. So since I was already there, I snapped a few photos of what I had to do to install a mopar trailer wiring harness. This is not mopar, however, it is the same installation.
1. Disconnect battery
2. Remove top and bottom interior trim from the hatch
3. Pull the rear cargo cover passenger side panel far enough to access the wire connector.
4. Pull them apart (there is a red slider which you have to slide to unlock)
5. Install the wiring kit male and female parts to the disconnected connectors.
6. Locate a ground wire and attach the new grounding wire on the same bolt.
7. Zip tie to make it look neat, and reattach the connector.
8. Pull the old floor plug and install the new one. (just pulls out and pushes in)
9. Run the wire along the inside of the bumper.
10. Reconnect the battery and test the wire. (Press on brakes, four ways and driving lights, then do the same with a trailer attached.)
11. Re-install your panels.
12. Tada!
Note: It is not required to take out the rear seatbelt nor remove the whole panel fully.
