This may not apply to too many people, but I figured I do a write-up any way!:D

My '05 RME was lucky enough to come W/O fogs, and since I wanted a set, I had basically 2 options; install a set from a Renegade, or go the after market route. I choose the later.

Since there's no room in the budget at the moment for a set of PIAAs, I got these from my local Wally-World.

I wanted to set them into the grille instead of putting them on the bumper, so I needed a small diameter set. These are 2.5" in diameter, and I've got 3" inside of the grill.

To begin, I pulled the front grill off.

There's a nice flat lip that maked a great mounting location for the fogs.

I pulled the grill insert out...

...and put the grill back on so I could try a couple of different locations, but these looked the best to me.

Mark the location for the hole, and drill in 2 places.

It was pretty easy to get underneath the plastic support to tighten the nuts down, thanks to some cutouts in the support. I had to space the lights up about 3/4", so I used some fender washers and a couple of nuts.

Now, I had to cut the grill insert to clear the fogs. Measure 17 times, cut once!

Here's how the grill looked after putting the grill insert back into it.

My buddy gives it her approval!! ;)

The final product, after soldering and heat-shrinking all the wiring!

I used a relay and tapped into the left running light, so the fogs are always on whenever the lights are on. The addition of a fuse should help avoid any problems!!

Here's a close-up of the clearances.

So far, I've had no heat-related problems in regards to the clearance between the lights and the grille. Hopefully, this'll help someone else in the same situation!

Well, they're 55 watt bulbs, but as you would expect, "you get what you pay for". For the price, they're not bad.

I'm surprised I never thought of that before. :) Good job!

and all '05 RMEs are lucky enough to come without fogs.

Hey that looks much better than stock fogs! :) I thought you were going to cut the grill where stock fogs went, but this turned out to be better..

Thanks for your help Tim!

Not sure she'd reach the ankle. Cute though.

Yeah, she's 2.5lbs of pure, unadulterated terror!

Actually, for the Rene's and RME's, the stock fogs go on the bumper, not beneath the headlights in the grille. There's no opening in the grille support for the fogs.

This gives me an idea, you could have put 7 lights there.. Hello christmas tree!
Didn't you consider angel eyes instead of these? They look really god lighted half-way.
