Parts cost was less than $10 at HD.

Tools:
  • 10mm socket
  • metal snips or sawzall or whatever
  • (optional)Creeper

Materials:
  • 1 M8x1.0 20mm bolt
  • 1 M8x1.0 Nut
  • 2 M8 Washers
  • 1 1-3/8in x 1/16in Punched Flat Plate
  • (optional) Paint

Step 1: Cut Punched Flat Plate to length similar to pic below. Also cut out an opening on the two holes below the first one.

Step 1b: I painted mine with spray can bed liner after a coat of primer.

Step 2: On your rear axle is a junction box for the brake lines. It will have a soft line going up the the body and also your differential breather line. Trace the brake line up to your body. Not like your your body I mean the Kj.

Remove the one screw holding the brake line to the body.

Step 3: Take your homemade bracket and use the existing bolt you removed and use it to secure the extension to the body. Use the end hole on the side you cut open.

Step 4: Use the bolt, nut, and 2 washers to secure the brake line to the extension. Depending on your lift just move the brake line up or down the extension before bolting it.

Works really well with my 4" lift and stock length lines. Tested it out and still had slack. Hardline clears rear uca with out any bending.
