I have a 2005 KJ Sport. I know bottom of the line KJ but a horse non the less. She has 177K plus miles and starts up every day with no issues. She needs some tweaks, new suspension, fix rust around third light and other minor issues but she is still going and going. I change the oil in her regularly and do required maintenance. I am hoping to learn more to keep her going another 100k miles.

Welcome to the forum!
The Kj is a pretty reliable tank overall, fairly easy to work on as well.
Maintenance is key to longevity. What color is it?

I also have an 05 sport, but it came with full skids and Trac lock plus no fancy gizmos I wouldn't want anyway. So while some might see it as bottom barrel, I'm quite happy.
