I am now able to purchase a lift and new tires.
I am looking at getting the Daystar:

2.5" Front & Rear Complete kit (sway bar bushings, bump stops, upper strut plate & boots) KJ09115 $308

http://www.rockymountainsusp.com

I would love to get a Frankenlift, but I can't really afford it at the moment along with new tires. I am leaning toward BFG A/T ko 245/75/16

Is the Daystar they way to go for now?

if your going to go off road just make sure you pick up a set of extended rear shocks to stop the stock shocks from topping out

the rancho RSX17004's work well with the daystar kit

and if it is in your budget get the rsx17505 struts at the same time

your KJ will love you for it

Tip: Check out www.truckxessories.com
That site has the kit model you want for a little less...shipped.
Then contact their support rep and tell them you knew someone who got it cheaper on eBay and he'll make you a good deal. O:)

That's what I did (thanks to bohica-kj (biggrin)).

update on my thinking...

After reading various things in the forums and chatting with people, I think I will perhaps go with the Frankenlift... I will throttle back by urge to get BFGs perhaps get Revos.. but I rather do things right and pony up the extra cash now, then in repairs or future upgrades to the same components in the future.

BFG's are great tires, but are so expensive. I wanted the Frankenlift too, but didnt have the cash for the BFG's, so I ended up shopping around and finding Goodyear MT/R's for $133 a piece, instead of the cheapest BFG's for $220 a piece.
