So as of now some physical and fiscal changes are coming
and the prospect of a full size tow rig for the TJ is out for
the next few years this means it will just sit and rot

I am considering either a WK or KK
The deciding factor will be the ability to lock and regear
Mostly the regear on the KK as the WK will have V8
So am I to understand that the KK can have 4.56 gears?
OME springs? Steel front diff. from factory? ARB for the front?
Things like skids and sliders can be made

I can get a KK with <50k miles for $15k which will give
me a $5k+ mod budget on day 1
So what ya got?

I do think the diff is still aluminum. But you are correct, anything that will fit a regular D30 will fit the KK.

For lifts, OME is an option I think. jeepinbyal.com would be a good info source.

So 3 days and 60 views 1 reply and the big question
Still not answered
I figured I could use KJ OME HD springs for lift
I like the prospect of 4.56's
Can I fit a 265/75 or like the KJ I "could but....."
Now what does it have for a front diff?
I have a good offer on the TJ but it is pending his money

Aluminum front diff still, but it's the D30M which address all the D30A's weaknesses, uses JK D30 gears. You can go as low as 4.88's if you are willing to grind some of the teeth off the rear 8.25 ring gear. The KJ and KK coils are not the same, will not get as much lift from a KJ coil installed on a KK.Will need adjustable rear tracbar and extended rear brake lines,a must for a KK.
