My replacement for the 93 Cherokee, an 05 Liberty Limited, and the 04 Liberty. I bought the Cherokee with only 2 miles on it and it finally died 12 years later with 185,371.4 miles on it. The new Liberty had 11 miles on it when I bought it at the end of March.

That's great! Your Cherokee still looked good with all those miles.

So was your wife mad at you getting the Limited?
I would hear it, lol! director.gif chairshot.gif

I'm pretty sure it was my fault. About two years ago it started burning oil, and I was pretty good at checking it to make sure it had enough. I guess I must have forgot to check it for a few weeks and on my way home from work, drive.gif I think the engine locked up and took eveything out with it. notcool.gif Power steering went out, serpentine belt blew off and wrapped around the fan, it overheated and was smoking under the hood, and blew the radiator and was pouring out fluid.

It went out in a blaze of glory! =D>

All that and I was still able to drive it about another half mile to a gas station to park it. It was only about 14k away from 200k. I went over to Carmax and got my Liberty that evening.

Yeah, it was in great shape. I wanted to try to keep it a few more years. The only thing wrong with it was it had no stereo. (oh, and the oil thing.) The year before, someone broke into it, while it was in the parking garage at work, at kindly removed it. The worst part about that, was I was only there for three hours that day! Talk about bad luck and bad timing. I drove it for a year like that. I like having a stereo again and the CD changer that comes in the Liberty!
