Hello i wanted to know . Do i need new upper strut mounts if i am planning to do the ome lift set up. Could i use the old ones or can i go with some aftermarket mounts like moog? Thanks
The original ones should be fine, you'll have to have them assembled by a shop. It's not risking life and limb on a strut compressor that is not up to the task. Take a good look at things under there to see if new spring isolaters (the rubber bits top and bottom of spring) are needed.
How "old" are the old ones? Do you want to install a completely new heavy duty lifted suspension and trust some old parts? They can't be that expensive to replace.
Second that - have a shop do the springs, not safe to use a home McPherson strut compressor, and I’ve compressed a fair amount of passenger car springs with rental spring compressors.
