Hello from Maricopa AZ. I recently purchased a 2004 Liberty with what I think are low miles, 93k? It is in really good shape and is destined to be our toad behind a 2018 Jayco Envoy class C. So far, new tires, oil change and a decent detailing. Next is to equip it with a tow bar base plate

Lots of good information on this site. Everything I know about KJ’s I learned here. You probably need to replace the springs and shocks. Measure from the center of the wheel hub to the underside of the fender flare, it should be 19”. Upgrading mine made a big improvement in the ride. Also check to see if there are any open recalls on the vehicle.

Hi klc, thanks for the reply. I will check that measurement that you mentioned both my wife and I have experienced the loud "clunk" when hitting a bigger bump. I did research that on this forum I believe and found multiple suggestions, so I don't know which to explore.
It's funny you mention recalls, I was looking at my insurance policy and it popped up that there was a rear lower control arm recall, which has since been completed.
