first start vheicle moves late ?

Hello Alll,

When the engine is cold at start-up, the vehicle is being move late... ( cheroke limited 2.8 crd , automatic 2005 )
after start the engine, I change the shift lever D or R , it van not move immediately, waits 3-4 seconds than move.. ( it occures just first start with cold engine and without waiting after the start )
but please consider that, if I wait for 40 - 60 second after start, it moves without waiting..

İs it normal?..

It might be low on transmission fluid. Some transmission dipsticks, like mine, are too long and bottom out on the inside of the transmission oil pan giving a false reading. Try adding some.

It might be a good idea to change the transmission oil and replace the filters. The spin-on filter could be loose and there is a seal for the pick-up tube on the screen filter that might not have been installed correctly.

If none of that helps you might have bigger problems.
