Egr valve faulty?

Hi, could someone tell me what the symtoms are for a faulty egr valve? Thanks

Did you have a CEL? Any codes? If it is stuck closed you are lucky, if it is stuck open it is going to be eating its own exhaust gas all the time and is not going to help with power or fuel efficiency.
