With the general grabber at2s and the truetrac, the jeep handled superb. It acted as if it wernt pouring outside like it was. My wife didnt notice the handling from wet and dry, but said it feels much safer than ever which I am starting to believe.

Sweet!

So when you were deciding on lockers did Powertrax come into play? Were the Detroits that much better?

I'm starting to look and real-life user feedback is invaluable.

BTW...You've built a NICE Jeep :waytogo:

Powertrax cam to mind but after reading that my wife will have to change her driving habits not to chew the tires up. This is why I chose detroit truetracs front and rear and with brake modulation u can lock them up

There are huge differences between the
True tracks
Power trax
And
Detroit locker
Main thing is power trax are junk ,I ran 31 X 11.5 LTB's
and broke 2 of them
True tracks are good but when we built our
"test track" we built in a couple of ramps to demonstrate
how lockers work and even with brakes TT's front and rear
on a TJ would not get it done but Detroit locker would
Detroit locker will hold up better than your T-case
It will lock up 100% and do it 100% of the time
but let up off the gas and it will unlock just as
easy

I used the hand brake and with the finesse of the e-brake lever I was able to bias the torque properly to have both wheels locked at one point. I wanted a fully street able locker and didn't want my wife to have to think how to drive. I like Detroit locker because thats what I had in my f-250 460. I liked it for mud purposes.
