"Change Oil" Problem

Okay i've searched a little and asked a few friends but no idea on this one. I need your help.

My oil filter was a little loose from last change, so i tightened it up the day i noticed it and changed my oil the next day. It had been telling me to change my oil for about a week, and that was almost 1,200 miles under the set time to change. So i changed my oil and its still telling me to change it. What do i do?

there is a way to reset the "change oil" reminder...I believe you turn the key (but dont start it) and within 10 seconds you pump the gas pedel 3 times. This resets the trip counter till your next oil change, approx 9500 km on mine. If you look in the "how to" it is in there to be sure.

You've got it, tibby, but it has to be done slowly within 10 seconds.

Also, it's not entirely a "counter".

Took me two tried to reset mine.
