where do you all have them mounted? i am considering the cobra 75wxst because it is compact. midland makes a similar unit. but i could also probably mount a more traditional unit on the passenger side of the center console...

what about mounts for the CB antenna? where are you all mounting these?

I have mine installed underneath the AC control switch on the dash. Next to the cigarette lighter.

I bought one of these because of its small size and well rated performance. hoping in the spring to get around to mounting it, and getting and mounting a full size antenna.
i'm thinking of something like jharris's idea, but over on the passenger side and farther back (closer to the FM antenna.)
also been considering replacing the FM antenna with a CB whip, and doing something else for FM, like thedealer did.
speaking of which, you got a write up/how-to on what you did there?

I haven't put one on my Libby yet, but on my Cherokee I had a 2 meter HAM band radio in it. I used the old through the glass, cell phone look alike antenna. I'm thinking about doing the same thing on the Libby, but just haven't bothered yet.
