Boiling in coolant tank

Hi guys.
Just wanted to check. After driving my 2004 renegade for a fair distance with AC on, once I stop of turn off the car it sounds like it’s boiling… when I lifted the hood I saw bubbles being forced back into the coolant tank. But the car is not over heating and temp gauge is working fine along with thermostat. So any idea on what it would boil back into the tank like this. And will that cause any damage?

You can not go by the temp gauge really
In the middle it can be 30-49 degrees higher or even more and still show OK
Check fan make sure it is working
Thermostat would be next ( MOPAR ONLY )
start there

Could be a head gasket issue.

Change your radiator cap. I had this same problem on my 2002 Durango 4.7 in September. Good luck!
