Finally got my freebie Mopar rock rails on today!

I thought about painting them black, but decided to try them in silver first - they match the wheels and recovery shackles nicely!

I think I like it...

It really doesn't bite my ass, and I don't it will anyone else's. It looks good and since it is not shiny, it doesn't get attention.
Looks good, don't touch it. I can't say the same thing about those rims though. :(

I hear ya! But they work... I've been spending my money on function instead of form so far... skids, rails, hitch recievers / shackles, Revos... lift next???

Then I'll think about rims, unless a really good deal comes along :)

I think the rock rails match the sport rims and your shackles well. You should leave it as is. The Revo's look good too.

How heavy duty are the Mopar Rock Rails?

They are pretty heavy duty. If I am not mistaken I have seen a red KJ balancing a rock on these rails. I have been hunting for a pair, but had a slap in the face when I heard that I had to drill to get them hooked. Dealer asked wayyy too much, so I thought it would be just waste to get them for mostly city driving.

Keswick......how hard were they to put on? Someone must have helped you hold them up so you could mark the holes for drilling?

The stock mopar rails are 'ok.' Ive seen a set bend and they were not hit very hard. They are ok to slide over, but the first time you put alot of weight on them they will bend like a straw. Sometimes you cannot help it when you slide off of a rock and give them a good hit. Ive done it many times.

The do look awesome though.. I say leave them as is till you bend them. :)

No drilling dave.

No drilling? Tee Hee... :) I prefer no drilling!

They seem pretty strong to me.

Leave them silver, they look great on a black KJ!

Jeepster.....That bent rail is ok. It means it did it's job of protecting the sheetmetal. That's not even a bad bend.

Anybody price them yet??
