i have used a couple of different methods, towel drying, spot free rinse, and a synthetic chamois. out of these methods which is best and has any1 used the T-bar water blade made by pilot automotive??? what is the best way to dry off???
Electric leaf blower followed by a towel dry is my prefered method.
Spot free rinse doesn't do the job as good as hand drying.
Synthetic chamois doesn't have a place for left-behind dirt particles to "fall into" when drying and can swirl the paint.
T-bar blades are the worst. If you have something left on the paint by chance, it will scratch it bad.
The Scamwow towel is junk as well.
I went to Home Depot and purchased a $20 (on sale at the time)
Homelite 150 mph 120 CFM Electric Blower/Sweeper. They are light and easy to move around. That gets the majority of the water off. Then, you use a towel to finish. I prefer microfiber waffle weave drying towels or a long nap drying towel. They allow any particles to "fall into" the towel, keeping them away from the paint.
Meguiar's Water Magnet is a good waffle weave and the Viking Ultra Plush Drying Towel is a good one as well. If you want to go super cheap though, go to Walmart in the kitchen section and grab some Mainstays waffle weave drying towels. You can get two decent sized towels for $3. Super cheap and very effective.
If you don't like the leaf blower idea, it is still better to use a microfiber plush/long nap or waffle weave drying towel. Using two also helps.
