Bad News-Checked My Rear Axle Sticker Today

Well, I got underneath the Jeep today to check for that green sticker that tells whether an open diff or a trac loc diff is installed. Mine said "Open Diff". I was hoping, but whaddayagonnado. :-({|=

right side i beleive..it's a green thing....
i was hoping mine would say trac lok too..but alas..it was open diff....

Well, you can get PowerTrax which are better than the factory limited slips. I been thinking about getting one of these.

Limited slip

I found one on e-bay; had it installed locally (04 Liberty). Total cost was about $100 for part and $250 for install. Works great for my purposes. Some think the LS requires a different differential, but that does not seem to be the case.

Ive got a powertrax and really like it. I dont think I could have driven to half the places I've been even on minor logging trails without it (I'm still on the SRA tires).

I did the install, took ~8 hours -- first time inside a rear dif \/

Axle Sticker

It is on the left end of the rear axle, lime green with black printing. Very easy to see.
