Hello all my name is zac, I am new to the KJ forum although I have owned my Jeep KJ 2.4 CRD 2002 for a few years now and have been spending ALOTT of money on this car. I really enjoy driving this car although it is costing me an arm n a leg to keep it driving. I'm just wondering if the hefty maintenance will eventually pay off? or is it worth cutting my losses as I ideally want a car that is reliable. I've replaced the clutch and majority of the suspension and now I need to replace timing kit (timing belt, idler pulleys, tensioner pullies, tensioner) which will cost me around AU$2,500 to repair which at the current moment I cant afford.

The clutch and timing belt are service items that will need doing at some point on any car that has them, I know it's not cheap but once it's done you have years of driving until they need doing again.
I bought my belt kit on Ebay direct from SKF UK and it was a lot cheaper than that, I'd see if they would ship to Oz direct.
