3.7L jeep kk Oil Capacity

Hey guys,
I hope you all are doing great.

My question is about the right amount of engine oil for a 2010 Jeep KK 3.7L.
Google and YouTube videos say 5 quarts (4.7 liters) including the filter. I put in 5 liters, but the level is still measuring at the beginning of the "Safe" zone on the dipstick (exactly at the letter 'S').
Is this normal? Should I add more or leave it as is?

5 quarts is correct. Perhaps it appears low because the engine was running or was recently running when you measured the level. The level should be checked after the Jeep has sat for at least 5 minutes, which allows some oil that's up in the engine to drip back into the pan. Also, it could appear low if the Jeep is not parked on a level surface.

I’m pretty sure it measures low when the Jeep is nose up. Was it up on ramps when you checked?

The correct answer is as ifhoward noted - 5 quarts or 4.7 liters.

I too was fooled by my garage's uneven floor - my laser showed an incline of 10° from back to front. This was done by the previous owner on purpose to help drain the floor towards the entrance to facilitate washing.

You may want to check your garage's level too.

I’m pretty sure it measures low when the Jeep is nose up. Was it up on ramps when you checked?

no it was on flat ground and i checked again after 24 hours and still the same

no it was on flat ground, and I checked again after 24 hours, and it's still the same. but im gonna try checking my garage level as u said to see maybe there's an incline i didnt now about

I changed my oil yesterday, and same as every other time, it took about 5 1/3" quarts.
