2011 KK - A/C Button doesn't work

On my 2011 KK 211k miles the A/C button doesn't light up when pressed. My mom drives this Jeep and took it to a local mechanic she uses and they said it's a bad PCM.

Just wondering if this is correct, if not where should I start to diagnose this issue?

Also if it is a PCM and I get a replacement does it need to be flashed by the dealer first?

Does the AC still work? If it does, I'm guessing it's just a bad bulb. my 09 WK had a few of them. I'd just go get that panel from a junk yard.

No it doesn't turn on or anything.

Fuse/relay ok? Does (or did) the compressor spin with the floor selection, defog or defrost like my 05 does? Wonder if it needs a charge and the pressure switch just deactivates the whole system.
