My 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee is just blowing regular temp air.........my ac is not getting cold and my heat when on is not getting hot. Some people I have talked to think its the actuator or the blend door. A guy told me that if its a broken door that might be very hard to find a part like that because he didnt think anyone makes them anymore. Thoughts please.

Maverick - you are on a jeep Liberty forum - not GC. Most of us here focus on the KJ / KK lines rather than your rig.
Might try JeepGarage.org for a better chance of a knowledgeable answer - but is does indeed sound like a blend door - either door or actuator - and a parts yard might be your best bet to find the parts you need.

If you GC is like the KJ, the blend door can be an issue. The actuator for that door is vacuum-operated, so if an old rubber hose leaks, it doesn't suck and the door stops and that *****. Actuator likely on top of duct work under passenger dash. On KJ the dash must be loosened and pulled back to get at actuator. My 2003 KJ actually had the door jam up in the duct, so the whole duct had to be replaced. Took awhile to find a recycler that had my year and model. Some folks have found they can manually move the blend door. The door shaft is vertical in the KJ duct with one end down. If a hole is drilled in the duct bump below that shaft end, the blend door shaft may rotate with a screw driver in the bottom end of the shaft through the hole. Summer / winter option, ya might say.

Yes .......I can move the blend door manually buy taking the actuator off and taking the stops off the glove box........I am beginning to think I may have to just decide to do this forever as I have tried 3 actuators and am kind of at a loss what to try next........it seems like moving it manually might be my best option. In the summer it stays in the ac position so moving it would be only when I need heat
