2003 2.4 KJ random drop in rpms

So for a while now my Liberty will have a random drop in rpms. It's a five speed and this will occur at startup or after being driven and I go to put it in neutral to come to a stop. It normally idles at 900ish. I have replaced spark plugs, wires, and fuel filter recently. It will dive down to about 500-600 and it will come back up. Any ideas as to what it could be?

alternator hitting , ac compressor hitting... Have your battery tested first.

Had the battery and alternator tested. 14.4 volts and 84 amps which according to the machine at the parts store everything was good. Will clean the IAC tonight and throttle body. I rarely use the A/C because it puts an enormous strain on the engine and unless I'm cruising at a constant speed, I might as well be in a Yugo when it comes to accelerating.
