Try Mothers Aluminum polish. I've heard good stuff about it.

Chrome Clad Rims

Ya Dave I had thought of that but I am not sure since these are the 17" Chrome Clad rims, if the rattle paint would even stick to them.
Taking them in for media blasting etc...might as well buy another set of rims in black powder coat.
In a way I like these they look good..and I think for now the aluminum polish is in order.

Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish is my prefered polish. I generally apply it with a Mother's Powerball, but in such a small area, a dremel with a felt pad would be best.

A little sanding with a high grit of paper, 1000, 2000, etc..., might be needed. Try just the aluminum polish first. If it doesn't totally work, then try the 2000, etc...

As far as painting the chrome clad wheels, I painted my 2005 chrome clad wheels and while four of them have held up fairly well, the fifth one is flaking all to pieces. I sanded with 60 grit and then some 320. Having them media blasted would probably be better if you chose to go that route.

My "DIY" is posted somehwere on here I believe.

I have the same rims, and the same bubbling problems, but there isn't much we can do about it, just cheap materials + weather effects.
I don't know if the plastic cover can be removed in these rims, I believe it is glued on, if it could be removed it would have made things a lot easier, you could just smother them in paint, but that's not the case with these. :)

Thanks to Both 67 and Hyed!
I tired polishing today with Blue Magic and SOS pad, the results are as below without sanding.
I think with the felt pad polish,(Thanks 67 for that tip) it will be in better shape.
I will try again in a few weeks to polish with dremel.
Suppose to rain for 2 weeks straight now..corrosion city, with no garage.

I think in the near future as the lift is getting done, I will eventually replace the Silent Armors and these rims for aftermarket black styling ones.
It still looks good from a distance just don't look at the inner rim corrosion!=Suck$.

So, according to the parts manager at our local Chrysler dealer, the "Chrome cladding"
on your wheels is made of plastic. So, you could have them media blasted (ie. Walnut shell) to have them roughed up and then either spray paint them or have them powder coated.
Just a thought.

Keep in mind that they might get beat up 4X4'ing!

FYI, toothpaste will help remove rust prior to polishing. It has to have fluoride in it, though; the fluoride bonds with the ferrous oxide molecules and it washes away. It should leave you with a nice, clean surface to polish.
