Hello all,
Have a quick question.
I got side swiped by a hit and run driver, Drivers door suffered cpl small dents, drivers rear door a dent by the handle and rocker panel dented.
well insurance company want to total it out, casue body shop claims $4,700.00 in repairs.
so now, I'm going to ask for a Salvage rebuildable title. insurance company gonna cut a check for $6800.00 and I can retitle under rebuildable.

I just picked up a "Slip On" rocker panel from Carid.
I live in Florida, theirs no rust at all on my jeep.
I'd like to know if when using these slip on rocker covers, Can I just "Slip Over" the existing rocker and use 3M 8115 panel bond adhesive to bond new panel to existing?
or do I really need to cut out the existing rocker.
I elected to replace both doors since I was able to pick them up from someone for $50 each, complete with tint. not same color of course.
but as part of the Salvaged title claim, I need to do a Florida dmv inspection, and wasn't sure if by Law rockers needed to be welded in place.
this is the replacement that I bought.

now i'm wondering if I should've went with something else maybe, like a smaller "Drivers side only" and saved $100.. or ?? I dont know. thats why I'm reaching out.
