    Brakes

I've been very satisfied with the NAPA Ultra Premium line (rotors and pads). Works much better than OEM. A little more expensive than "OEM grade" replacement parts but well worth it.

    30K service

I would guess around $200 just for the plug change. That's what they charged me for my minivan a few months ago (got backed into a corner since I had an OBD light on). They'll probably try to sell you a fluid change for the front and rear axles plus the TCase. Did the KJ myself, plugs are...

Offsets, Backspace, and other wheel info

Response is about 4 months late but the specs, from what I can gather, are as follows: 17" (diameter) x 7.5" (wide) Bolt pattern: 5 X 114.3mm (4.5") Hub Center Bore: 71.5mm Not sure about the offset but most likely it's the same as the 16" wheel at +41mm.

An inexpensive option for forged, aluminum wheels...

I'm sure you can probably run them for years without any problems but if you hit a couple of deep pot holes really hard and you probably just cracked your nice wheels. The tolerance argument is somewhat irrelevant, because if there is a tolerance issue, one, maybe two lugs nuts are not seated...

    Tire Pressure Monitor Display Problem?

Thanks guys, yes it appears to be a vehicle problem. I was hoping there was a reset procedure so I can avoid a dealer visit. Guess I just have to bring it in.

An inexpensive option for forged, aluminum wheels...

Guys, just a little caution in the interest of safety. AFAIK (and I could be wrong, and please correct me if I am) the bolt pattern for the Dodge/Chrysler LX/LC cars are NOT IDENTICAL to the KJ. 5 X 115mm for the LX/LC and 5 X 114.3mm (or 5 X 4.5") for the KJ are close, but not quite the...

    Tire Pressure Monitor Display Problem?

I wonder if anyone had experienced this problem. My EVIC normally displays the tire pressures for all 4 tires. Recently it displays a blank (--) on the LR spot, the other 3 spots show the normal tire pressure reading. I thought, OK the LR sensor went bad and would not display so maybe I...

HOW TO: Replace the Blower Control Resistor Block

I just did the resistor block replacement this PM and it took me about 20 minutes. My procedure was a little different but it worked. Removing the glove box gives you a fairly decent access to the resistor block. Coming in from the bottom with a flat blade screw driver I was able to pop the...

HELP!!! Window tilting while rolling up

This is covered under 3yr/36K Warranty. Just had this done last week. The dealer replaced both front window channels PN 55360958AB/55360959AB. The regulators were OK. By the way my KJ is a 2007MY, don't know if the PNs changed over the years.

    HOW TO: Change Spark-Plugs

It's impossible for a plug gap to become smaller in use, that is why spark plug engineers use the term "erosion" since the spark eats up a small piece of the tip every time it fires. The only logical explanation is that someone probably drop the plug just before it was installed. Quite...

    HOW TO: Change Spark-Plugs

Just did spark plug change 2 weeks ago before I saw this write-up and found this write-up is exactly the procedure that I did. Just a few comments to add. After removing the coil-on-plug on each cylinder, and before removing the plug, I put my shop vac nozzle on top of the plug to suck any...
