    Weight of 3.7 motor?

I'm selling a 3.7, but almost everyone enquiring wants me to ship it... I don't have scales big enough, and am terrible approximating weights,,, Anyone know / hazard a guess at what a fully dressed (airbox to headers) 3.7 would weigh? Any reccomendations for shipping companies? I know of...

Just had a look at the 68RFE transmission (Ram 2500 cummins)...

...and it looks (externally) nigh on the same trans as the 545RFE (and hence the 45RFE). Pan stud pattern appears to be the same, the length of the maincase is the same (circa 23") although the area the TC sits inside of has obviously grown in diameter. Rearwards of the 'front wall (pump) the...

    Engine problems

Remember this is the 'more robust' 45RFE transmission, not the 42 - even so - it still works fine. Was a littlew scary at first after swapping out the oil and filters when it shifted really harsly, but it got better in the weeks after. We're still swinging it out in a week or two though to...

    Engine problems

Well, our 2002 has just popped over 169K now. Still on the factory trans (which fianlly had the oil dropped finally at 150K) and the original engine. Truth be known, Engine is getting tired - it's using a quart every 1500 miles or so - but it's still pulling well and starts every time. This...

WTB CRD turbocharger: Dead or Alive!

Yes, fully aware of this... Not of any concern. I want to know the trim and tip heights mainly.

WTB CRD turbocharger: Dead or Alive!

I'm after a CRD turbo - for a non Jeep related project.. First thing i need to do is delve into the inner workings of exactly what the trim and tip heights are of one of these units... So, does anyone have one - dead or alive that they wish to sell? I need one that is maybe fully working...

So what does a Fuel Filter with 169K miles look like?

*** OLD POST RESSURECTION ALERT *** The filter in the picture was the external one. The one that (as you note) changed in 2004ish... I actually threw the 'dead' pump assembly out yesterday finally, but removed the pump to look for a name. It is a Delphi fuel pump. I guess someone is...

    06 springs/shocks same as 02?

Can anyone check the numbers please - looking to check if the front springs and front shocks, and rear shocks are the same for a 2002 and 2006 MY. Both 3.7 V6.... Cheers, Dave

    '02 KJ Transmission

    It's a 45 - and a pretty good price given the miles.

So what does a Fuel Filter with 169K miles look like?

Fuel filter was from the link given several times in this post: http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34470 Postage was $11 or something like that. Still cheaper than the dealer even without the tax. And as complex as the filter may be, with the formed plastic pipes, and quick-clips...

So what does a Fuel Filter with 169K miles look like?

OT apology - The mini is a '71 and is turbocharged. 1/4 in 13.65 @ 102 best IIRC... Much more to come once I'ver finished the design on my new clutch  Hmmm - not noticed your sig before; you got one too?

So what does a Fuel Filter with 169K miles look like?

Well, lifetime in OE speak - means 100K - ie outside of the best factory warranty. Lifetime also refers to (from a replacement aspect on a service item, rather than a component like a crankshaft in the engine) a first-owner standpoint, not second, or third owner. TJKJ: Have you opened up any...

So what does a Fuel Filter with 169K miles look like?

We got the vehicle with 140K on it - it's now done 169k. Since we got it the fuel pump has been noisy; but it got worse in the past few months. Thinking that the pump might be on its way out (hardly surprising with this milege) - which has probably been hindered by a filter never having been...

    Mopar # for 2002 3.7 fuel filter?

I've heard sufficient unpleasant things about trying to mess about with that little hole - and as i'm swapping out the pump as a precaution as well, it's a simple tank drop for me. Cheers for the info however, I do appreciate it :)

Which fuse is for the power outlet?

Well, I don't have the owners manual to hand - I did have - but it came out of the jeep for some reason, and since dissapeared into the house and I guess the dog ate it or something! Anyone able to confirm the 'top left' fuse?

Help me confirm which tranny I have

http://i23.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/cf/20/19ca_1.JPG The above link shows a pic of the RFE (although the one pictured is actually from a later ram hemi, but pretty much identical). Note the sticker under the electrical connector, the position of the shift lever and - well - the general shape...

Which fuse is for the power outlet?

The wife managed to blow the fuse for the front and rear auxillary power outlet (the one next the the cig lighter) - but I can't see any dead fuses; although I don't actually know which fuse it is to be honest! The cig lighter still works, so it's clearly on a different circuit to that...

    Mopar # for 2002 3.7 fuel filter?

As title - does anyone know this perchance? I figure i may as well change this given the engine occasionally 'misses' for no reason at all (no codes or CEL) - it has done 168k after all LOL! Cheers, Dave
