What rental tool for als a arms bushings works? I got one from advanced, kit 25 but it doesn’t seem right. Anyone have any advice on which one to get? Thanks!
First, been a while and I am about to redo the front basically and hand the KJ off to my daughter. 175k and I know the front lower bushings need done. What is everyone’s thought on replacing them. Do shops generally have any issues doing them? Thinking of taking them to a shop to get them done...
Been off here a while, but may be back more and more as my lift has about had it with 110 K on it. Anyway, I have a battery drain issue that I can't pinpoint. I've hooked up a multimeter with a nifty gadget I got online to test the amperage going out of the battery...
I'm thinking about getting the JBA Adjust-A-Struts Total Control front coilovers.
There's a choice of HD springs or normal if don't have the CRD.
I've been running the HD OME springs in front for almost 100K miles now.
What's the recommendation on spring choice for the JBA Adjust-A-Struts?
I've been away from here a while and was wondering. How can you tell if you have the stock sized als a arms or the lifted sized a arms? There's always been a choice between the two on the Website. I ask because mine are really close to the spring at rest and when I jack up the front they are now...
Been gone from here for a while focusing on well, life and thought I'd just let you all know my transmission is going out or seems to be. Thought I'd pick the brains of all the fine folks here and see if this has already happened to anyone so I know what to expect.
since mid winter i've had an...
Here's a couple shots from the Jeep jam. They have a lot of pics there at
odz jeep jam
Really was fun. I highly recommend it. I got a lot of "wow, really a liberty...?".
Would be fun to get a group of KJs to go next year.
Does anyone know the correct part number for spicer u-joints? It seems to be some kind of secret or something.
I'd like non-greasable type. I have some of those napa greasable ones now and not only are they a pain in the A, but they are vibrating bad after only a year. Anyway, if anyone knows...
Jeep Jam was great for the KJ this year. It did awesome. Also saw a lot of nice jeeps and just had a really great time. There was hundreds of jeeps, mostly wranglers of course, but it made me stick out like a sore thumb. I made it through without a hitch on some things that stock 4 door JKs...
I just tightened to spec the a-arm on my side about a month ago. I'm talking about the bolts inside the engine bay. Now they seem to be clunking again and are loose. What gives? are the bushings bad after only 2.5 years?
Guess I'll be ripping the battery out again. :disgust:
I have a set (2) of rear tri-link bushings that I'd like to sell, just to get my money back from them. I ordered two not knowing it was a set I was ordering. I'll eat the shipping costs.
$25 shipped.
They are Moog Part # K200428
I just got too curious and decided to order a link extension from Jeepin by Al to see what exactly it would do. I think it looks pretty beefy IMO and makes the tri-link level. Here are the pics I took right after I got it bolted up.
This was with the weight of the jeep on the axle...
not sure if this would interest anyone, but I just happened to come across this. Hopefully could help someone out that does lifts a lot or something.
air strut compressor
Does anyone have an old Duratrac tire that they don't want. I just want a spare. It doesn't have to have much tread on it, just something to put on the back. I'm getting tired of my mismatched spare.
Willing to take a small road trip to get it. Thanks!
Classic go out to start KJ and all lights come on but no crank.
I think the ignition broke.
How do you know it is broke and once you determine it is broke? How do you get it started? It's stuck at work and I need to get it home to work on it.
Thanks for the help!!
