I would agree, but if there isn't a check engine light on, there probably isn't an error code stored in the computer. Without an error code there isn't any information to point to what the problem is besides the symptoms he's already mentioned.

Is the check engine light on? If not then you won't get much help at a dealership. I would check the idle air controller and maybe the throttle cable and it's attachment to the throttle body. It sounds weird, but there could be something getting in the way of the free movement of the throttle...

I've experienced the same thing on my '04 Liberty Renegade. I think it has something to do with the whole stalk part that has the controls for the headlights and the windshield wipers. Its the same part and I think that there is some issue with a short in the stalk or possibly something to do...

Another thought on cleaning the underside of your Liberty is to park over a sprinkler, when the weather permits, and let it sit for a while. This works really well after a long day of muddin', when there would otherwise be chunks of mud randomly falling off your Jeep for days after while driving.

The right front seems to get it the worst because thats the tire that takes the most beating when attempting to parallel park, especially the incorrect way by pulling forward into the spot and then backing up as opposed to pulling past the spot and then backing in.
