Remove the glove box. Very easy to do. Look straight through the opening and you will see a screen on the mixing box. It's probably completely covered in dust and plugged. Vacuum it clean and the airflow on recirc will be like new.

I meant to post this earlier. Might have saved one member a lot of time if I had. The problem was the recirculate intake screen being clogged with dust. Remove the glove box and it's straight ahead on the right. Took 10 minutes and it works like new.

Just hit 120,000. Replaced water pump, one O2 sensor and battery twice. Runs just like she did when I drove her off the lot.

I'll be watching for results. Mine developed a loud creak in the right front last winter. But only when it's cold. It didn't do it all summer and I was hoping it went away. Alas, it's back now that it's in the 30s most mornings.

Not even all 05 and up have them. Ours is an 05 and I have a plain old basic $2 spare key that I keep in the garage to move the Liberty around and another one hidden on the Liberty to use when I can't find the originals. They both work fine.
