I have a 2004 with a 5 speed and took no chances with aftermarket - I rebuilt mine with a kit for cheap - 10 years on the rebuilt and still good.

I don't see one under mine,I also have a 04 5 speed, I believe the aftermarket slave cylinders are built cheap.

No idea anymore - yours looks like a much higher quality than the one I had.

These were around years ago as aftermarket driveshafts but the one I bought on my 04 vibrated and I sent it back - Now I just rebuild the stock one when needed.

I ended up buying 2 used spares since I plan on keeping my Jeep - You are right how the pump sits in the tank is not like other years with the dumb 2 piece design.

Look at some of my previous posts with my p0456 code on my 04 KJ, It ended up being the plastic piece on top of the fuel pump had tiny cracks - had to drop the tank and purchase a used one from the bone yard since new was no longer available.

Makes me wonder if the one I have as a spare is really off a 03 Liberty or off a different Jeep - Another questionable Ebay purchase..

I know everyone says they have a curve but I have a spare from a 03 KJ and it is flat as a pancake.

It's the plastic under the lock ring that had tiny cracks - The 04 was 2 pieces and it was the top housing that had cracks- not sure of other years,

With my 04 I had a po456 that I could not be located w/ smoke or visual inspection, wasted money by changing parts -canister - and every other part in the evap. system, finally dropped the fuel tank and found the plastic bushing on top of the tank had small cracks causing the small evap leak...

Seems the Napa rebuilt is the one advised here. I'm about to replace mine in a week or so..

Soon after I bought my Jeep back in 2004 I started getting this code even though it ran perfect - the dealership pulled the heads and found some pitting with the valves - 200k since the repair and it runs perfect - I always commend the Chrysler dealership for their warranty work, My son's dealer...

Compression test. Could be a valve problem.

Anybody have a recommendation for a replacement - OEM not available - leaking from shaft seal.

Even if they were stamped NTK I would be worried, My friend purchased OEM Honda parts off Amazon which were marked Honda and with Honda marked boxes - Turns out they were counterfeit causing failure to his engine, I try to buy local now to avoid problems - Amazon and Ebay are both suspect lately.

I would have asked for the old flywheel back, My 04 was in great shape after towing and teaching 2 kids how to drive a 5 speed at 150k . Anyway back 7 years ago when I changed my clutch - new flywheels were not available so before I replaced it I purchased a used flywheel from a 03 liberty and...

Glad your ok, KJ'S are very strong - a few years ago a Camry t-***** my KJ and totaled the Toyota but my Jeep was easily repaired.
