    Bilsteins for Front

It's come time to replace the Rancho RS5000s on my Jeep that are beyond shot. I've always had a bit of a brand preference towards Bilstein and would love to use those if possible. However, it's been awhile since I've done work with the KJ and quite a bit has changed. I came across these...

    Powerslot/Ceramic Pads with Rear Drums?

I've been looking through some of the older articles on here about the Powerslot brakes. I think most people on here have discs all the way around. How would ceramic pads/Powerslot rotors work with drums on the back? Would the brake bias be completely off? I keep having issues with the brakes...

    Intermittent Airbag Light on 2002

After doing a search through the website, I haven't been able to find my particular problem. Every so often (probably about 1 out of 5) starts, my Jeep throws the "Airbag" light on the instrument cluster along with the chime. I've noticed that I can aggravate the problem by moving around in the...

    Bosch Platinum +4 Spark Plugs

These plugs were just put into my Jeep after 30,000 miles of using the basic Champion spark plugs. After putting them in, I noticed a significant improvement in performance in the KJ. Over the exact same commute that I typically drive with the same traffic and same speed, my Jeep averaged 20.7...

    Yet Another Air Conditioning Question

Ok, so I had the compressor replaced about a month ago and all has been well. However, last weekend, I heard a click from the dash and now Recirc does not work. When it is engaged, it almost sounds as though there is something in the vent blocking airflow. It also sounds like it is just cooling...

What Brand of Fuel Do You Prefer?

Recently, I've been noticing which gas stations I go to and which fuel I think runs the best in the Jeep. I'm not sure of the scientific rationale, but I'm positive there are some that are better than others. For me, I've found 87 octane from QT runs the best. Any one else have any favorites?

Review: Chemical Guys Natural Shine Pleasant Matt Shine Dressing

I just had this stuff delivered to my house after looking for a more muted type of tire dressing. After going to many car shows and examining the work of many extremely high-end automotive detailers, I noticed that their vehicles all did not have extremely glossy, reflective tires that are...

    My Saturday

I just wanted to post up pictures of what I spent my Saturday doing. I did a full detail (clay bar, 2 types of polish, and 2 coats of wax) on a Jeep SRT8 that belongs to a good buddy of mine. Awesome vehicle. Brembos, 6.1L Hemi, AWD, dual exhaust, Goodyear Z-Rated tires, all the good stuff. Not...

    Fiat Threatens To End Negotiations

http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/markets/industries/transportation/fiat-threatens-walk-away-chrysler-report/ Personally, I don't blame Fiat. Maybe this will make the union people realize they are grossly overpaid for glorified factory workers. Supply and demand. However, I hope it works out as...

    Air Conditioner Troubles

Ok, I am a bit confused with my Jeep right now. Now that it has started to warm up here in AZ, it has been necessary to crank up the ac again. However, it will run ice cold for about 10 minutes, then the air is at least as warm as the ambient air temperature for about 5 minutes, then it goes...

Review: Pinnacle Leather Cleaner and Conditioner

I just received Pinnacle Leather Cleaner and I have to recommend it for the Mopar leather. It worked extremely well, made the leather feel softer than new, and I actually went through three microfiber towels before it stopped removing dirt and grime from the seats. My Jeep has 120K miles on it...

    Detailed The KJ

I was able to detail the KJ again today and had quite possibly the best results ever. I had done a full Zaino treatment a few weeks ago, so decided to put a layer of Pinnacle XMT 180 on there using the new Porter Cable I got. I managed to get a few pictures just before the sun went down and I am...

    K&N vs. Airaid

So, since it's been awhile since I've bought the Jeep anything and I've been working on getting all of the minor things that have worn out replaced, I realized I have yet to get it the aftermarket air filter that I have wanted to get. Looking at Checker I have the choice between an Airaid and...

    Dimmed Portion of Instrument Cluster

Well, I went on a late night slurpee run (which btw cafe latte slurpee is absolutely disgusting) and as soon as I turned on my headlights, I discovered that a small portion of my speedometer (between 35 and 45 mph) is significantly dimmer than the rest of the panel. What could cause this? Is...

    Post Your Random Trip Pics

I've seen this idea on a motorcycle forum and personally thought it was enormously successful. Post up any pictures you have that you think are particularly scenic/cool/funny/whatever. The only requirements are that it must be a picture you took and it must have been taken somewhere in the...

    Nitro/KK Liberty Revtek Lift

Hey, I don't have an 08, so I'm not much help, but I saw this and wanted to give you few lucky guys a heads-up. Looks like a 2" spacer lift is out now. http://www.rockcrawler.com/features/newsshorts/08january/revtek_liberty.asp

    Amplfier Question

My KJ has been running an aftermarket audio system for about a year now after I blew out the Infinity speakers twice (don't ask). I have a Kenwood receiver and Polk Audio DB650's in all four doors. However, I have no amp and it is embarassing to say the least right now. I am not planning on...

    Review: Rockford Cordless Buffer

Last Christmas, I was given a Rockford "Commercial" cordless buffer. While it was given out of the best intentions, the buffer itself is sub-par at best. I have only used it twice and each time has been an incredible disappointment. First, one of the batteries does not click in completely...
