well my '05 rennie just developed the same issue, good to know it's only a 10 min fix. did anyone ever nail down that part number?
by the way hi everyone, been a while since i posted last.
it's about a $200 fix at the dealer, i just traded the '02 in on an '05 to fix mine.
just call the dealer and ask him to give you info on the multifunction stalk tsb.
well finally pulled the trigger and have bfg at tko's on both kj's. went 235 70 16, only thing is they only had 3 on hand so i had to use the spare off the crd to round out 4 on my rennie. now we have 235's on the ground and 225's as spare's. to top it off one of the tpms units were corroded and...
we have bfg's on the crd and i am one last skidding close call away from coming off the cash to put them on the rennie too.
i find they offer a very confident ride w/a slight increase in road noise.
replaced both rear claipers (yep, they were both sticking!) and pads for less than 200 bucks. still have receipt for the calipers, just in case there is ever a recall. it was our '05 rennie and there's no way both should have failed w/less than 40k on the clock!
well our '05 crd started a 3 burst honking pattern at 0630 this morning. it would start short, the each burst would get louder. it wasn't the alarm and the only way it would stop was to turn the headlights on, or remove the battery cable.
we did notice that it was wet, inside by the drivers...
come on marlon i love the growl, let's everyone know my wife's kj is not the same! you know how some of the guys who drive the big rigs drool over it at the pump, well you that same reaction when you tell someone who just asked what's wrong with your jeep?
if you can take a tire off and remove a couple of bolts you can do it. if you are that nervous jack the front end up, take both tire off and use one as a template to put the other back together (but you won't need to).
i posted some other combo. for me it depends on the tire. why put the lettering out if it's some crappy off brand? however, i put the bfgs owl out to "show off".
you shipped to the place THEY wanted right? if so they were responsible for making sure they would get it secured on arrival. i agree with others, cooperate with any investigation they start. i don't think you should eat the transaction. especially if they chose the method of delivery and...
man it's just a rainbow sticker away from total conversion. don't feel bad my wife is still looking for a "silly boys, jeeps are for girls" plate ot tire cover. no way am i joining into the hunt, we swap jeeps sometimes and i don't always have time to "sanitize" it.
