Love the BDS lift on my KJ. Ran it since 2005. My vehicle is on their Pride n Joy section. Do a search for Jeep --> Liberty --> 2004
The suspension has been great and installed without a problem. The Springs are nice and bulky. I did have to upgrade to the Jeepin By Al upper control arms...
You have a lot of flash on the molded pieces, do you gauge for quality?
........... Just Kidding!! I worked in a mold shop for Jeep inner trim panels and boy did Chrysler have hairy fits for insignificant flash on the inner parts of molded pieces. Cool that you have a machine to do this.
Well the weights are all there still and I remember since I was in the shop and hanging out with the guy putting them on and balancing them after. However!! I never would have thought they would put full PSI in the tire, not one second of thought. I drove about 4K total on them (maybe less since...
So with the temps running in the low 40's on Sunday I went ahead and took care of changing my oil, air filter, and greasing some areas up. I also thought how it would be a great time to rotate my tires (purchased back in November). No problem, until I checked the air pressure on them and...
But I got a Columbia Jacket with the purchase :) Oh, not to mention the cloth/pleather seats and Columbia Edition Stitching in the front seats.
OMG I found a stock photo!! I have no idea why I bought the light guards (plastic) and tubular bars. I have no regret on picking up the light bar...
LOL... It is a harder task for shops that do not have major experience with aligning lifted vehicles. Sounds like he just doesn't want to put you way out of specs and relies only on the machine.
OH, what area of Michigan are you from? You can get a good alignment from a couple shops here in...
Hope you guys are having fun :) Take some pics too..... Maybe this summer it will be my turn. Gotta get the Franky Lift on this thing and ditch the BDS.
I just threw in a Optima RedTop 34-78 which I got from Sams Club for $134.99... It has 800 CCA and 1000 CA with free 3 year replacement and 7 year pro-rated replacement. I put it in just before we got blasted with our coldest weather of the year. Purposely I placed the Jeep outside and it sat...
LOL (tjkj)....
As for the ARB I assisted with the installation of one and it does use additional mounting points to the frame to keep it from loosing structure strength.
Sweet sounds cool. I may be scanning in the front end of a KJ (with bumper off). I can export the scan data to anything you use (Catia, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc...). It may help in development. Unfortunately this may not happen for a few weeks because we are currently completing other work.
BCM going haywire? I don't know how if that would fit into this situation but have the entire cluster going nuts indicates there is some type of communication problem.
Why not this. A lot lower miles, same Jeep style platform (Compass), roomy cargo space, good mileage, etc...
