I think I fixed the issue lol I’m getting about 13 mpg now so I’m sure that’s accurate with my driving. So where is the egr tube located? I have a 03 I don’t have a mass airflow sensor or really anything on my intake so I’m wanting to take a look at it but wondering if I have one. What year is...
I personally wouldn’t worry about not flushing the transmission because your scared it will destroy it. It’s a totally normal procedure at 100,000 miles. I’d go check your dipstick like a few others said if the fluids nice and red and smells strong and not burnt then I wouldn’t worry about...
Yeah I was planning out how I wanna gonna do an engine living with only street parking but I did a compression test and I got around 170 on all cylinders. Wish I had hooked up a jumper pack because it was cranking slow near the end of the test but the cylinders with plug fowl where good. It’s...
Yeah I might give that a shot or I’ll just wait till winter again and see if I can’t see exhaust smoke coming from the leak again. I’m probably not gonna fix it until I get the oil fowled plugs figured out.
Oh boy lol I'm happy to say I did a compression test and I don't need an engine. I'm assuming it was due to the pcv the plugs where getting oil fowl but it could be another issue. I'm just hoping that since the misfire was on the other cylinder I'm not gonna have the same issue as you.
Yeah my plugs had oil foul and where not tight either. Bought some heater core hose and am running that right now it still looks like it's collapsing but no parts stores sell good a pcv hose for the valve so Ill have to order a oem part maybe from mopar to fix or Ill pull one off at the salvage...
Yeah I've heard copper plugs are the way to go lately. All mine looked in decent shape besides the one covered in oil. The code is weird because it's the middle cylinder on the passengers side of the engine and according to the diagram that's 4 not 3 which is what I got the code for. It set a...
I'm sorry I keep posting new threads. my liberty keeps having more and more new issues but I think I found my at least main problem for getting 10.5 mpg. I pulled all my plugs today. Tried to check gap but the feeler gage I borrowed didn't have .043 so I just made sure all the electrodes looked...
I don't know about Liberty's but GM has major issues where the fuse box corrodes and messes up the entire electric system. I'd pull a few fuses and see if any of the post on them are corroded. It could also have overheated or exposed to water or mud. I'd inspect it thoroughly maybe even take it...
This is a separate thread to my original question. I have a 2003 jeep kj I’m trying to hunt down my bad mpg problem (original post below) I’m really thinking It’s a bad exhaust because I’ve been doing research and had no idea a bad exhaust can cause horrible mpg(my original problem) and a...
Yeah it’s what is. Luckily I don’t desperately need it as of now. It’s cold but not in the negatives anymore and I fixed all my windows because the a/c never worked
Yeah I replaced the resistor a few months back with a dorman product because I had the same problem. I’ve heard bad things about them so idk if I have it or not but if I kept the old resistor I’ll swap em out and see if the blowers bad. It’s made a few concerning nosies so it’s probably the...
It was a 303 multiple misfires on cylinder 3. I was like no big deal because that was the one I though the coolant tank was dumping coolant onto so I’ll just clean the connector but it’s on the drivers side so I was wrong. I changed the plugs out two years ago. They calmed they where pre gapped...
Update not sure if this helps.
Coolant tank is patched wiped all coolant and oil away and will look for leaks.
My friend gave me some injection cleaner he had left over so I put it in my tank earlier today. My tank is close to full so I know your supposed to use it when you fill but I didn’t...
Jeep Kj nightmare.
Hi, this will be my first post here as I’ve been stuck with a few problems on my Liberty and can’t find any information retaining to my specific situation. I have a 2003 3.7 v6 jeep liberty close to 170,000 miles. Ever since I got the Jeep close to three years ago...
