    2005 liberty- Overheating

for me I never had overheating problems, but I had water pump leakage, so I replaced the pump, belt tensioners, and thermostat with aftermarket thermostat. I even indexed the thermostate so the weep hole was where OEM was. a couple days later I was towing a 5x8 trailer that weighed in around...

Rust repair or time to sell

no way I would sell because of what is in that picture. I would use a soft scouring pad on that and see how it cleans up. maybe tape it and spray it, but it might not even need paint, just wax. that's not rust :)

Is fan speed '1' meant to spin the blower motor?

I use position 1 all the time. 2 blows too much air with AC on. Than the blower motor resister went out and I was blasting on high all the time so I quickly replaced that. I bet your getting ready to need a blower motor resistor, so get it over with and buy it now. easy job and I bet fan works...

has anybody had good luck with any radiator besides the Jeep sells? I am going to storage yard to look, but I seem to recall in my 2006 the auto trans does not use the radiator cooling connectors, it only uses the cooler in front of the radiator.

    Overheated today

so why does the temps climb with Overdrive turned ON at 55mpg, and they stay normal when towing same load with overdrive off at 55mph I think the converter is still locked at times with OD off, just the engine runs at 2300rpm instead of 1500rpm @ 55mph. I agree I don't like the aftermarket...
